SQLGym

Privacy policy

SQLGym for iPhone · Effective October 2, 2026

SQLGym is operated by Andrew Beckerman. This policy describes the current on-device version of the app.

Data stays on your device

SQLGym does not require an account. Its datasets, solutions, and PostgreSQL engine are bundled with the app. Your queries run locally against fictional practice data.

The app stores your SQL drafts, cursor position, last viewed problem, submitted queries and results, attempt history, completion dates, solved status, and streak information on your device. A random local identifier helps organize this progress; it is not sent to a server.

No tracking or remote analytics

SQLGym does not send your queries or progress to the developer, run advertising, or use third-party tracking or remote analytics. The app may write limited diagnostic events to your device’s system logs. Those events do not include your SQL or account credentials.

Storage and deletion

Progress remains on your device while the app is installed. The app does not provide cross-device sync. Deleting the app removes its local app data; copies in device backups are governed by your Apple backup settings.

Support and beta feedback

If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information you choose to include, and uses it to respond and investigate your request. You may request deletion of that correspondence by emailing the address below.

Apple may process diagnostic or TestFlight feedback information according to your Apple settings and Apple’s privacy terms. Feedback you submit through TestFlight may be shared with the developer. These Apple services are separate from SQLGym’s local progress storage.

This website

This support website does not add analytics scripts, advertising, cookies, or forms. The hosting provider may process standard connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website.

Changes and contact

This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices change. For questions or privacy requests, contact abeckerman007@gmail.com.
